I have heard them play at a number of venues in Orange County, and each time am so impressed by the lovely vocalist, as well as the ability of the terrific instrumental trio. The group always seems to play at just the right level for the size of room they’re in, so it never gets too loud. During cocktails and dinner, it was easy to talk without being overpowered, and when people started dancing, it was just right, too. The music is so mellow and classic. If you like jazz standards, you’ll like Starlight Jazz Quartet.

So happy that we hired Starlight Jazz Quartet for my parents’ wedding anniversary party last month! When putting together a special event, there are so many details to worry about. I did NOT worry about the music. From the very beginning, I could tell this was a group of seasoned professionals. My first e-mail inquiry was responded to within 24 hours. Nadia called in person to discuss pricing, services, repertoire, etc. Several follow up phone calls were always prompt and responsive. The band had never played this particular venue, but they arrived early for set up and sound check. Hooray – the music was NOT too loud, but it WAS perfect for the evening and location, creating exactly the ambience I wanted. The group performed straight ahead jazz, standards, big band, with a little bossa nova thrown in for me! They were extremely personable and warm, and I am still receiving comments from my guests about how much they enjoyed the music that evening.
